"Wrist surgery with a follow up over a year later"

About: Northern General Hospital / Trauma and orthopaedics

(as the patient),

18 months ago I had surgery on my wrist in the Northern General Hospital. I was extremely pleased with the surgery, every single person was great. However, a few weeks ago I noticed pain and swelling in my wrist and because they had to put plates and screws in I was really worried that something had gone wrong. I went to my GP who sent an urgent referral as she was worried too. Following my referral I spoke to the reception staff at Northern General and they were very kind and helpful. I went to the fracture clinic and saw Mr Story who put my mind at rest straight away as I was quite anxious about my wrist. I had some xrays done and got the results and all was fine. Everyone there was fantastic, they were all really kind and professional at the same time. I think it's great that within three weeks I was seen and had results, so I'm a very happy customer!

When I had the surgery everyone was absolutely superb, the anesthetist was world class and over all I was very very pleased.
