I had attended a routine 8weekly check up with my cardiology specialist nurse, when there she noticed that I was retaining an excessive amount of fluid all over my body, she immediately took action and had me admitted for IV therapy. Really an exceptionally good judgement call. After one night in the admission ward I was transferred into the cardiology ward, here I'm lost for words where to begin.
I have never been on any other ward in FVRH or any other hospital where truely the ward should be held up as a shining example as to what hospital life should be.
The team from the domestics to the consultants and everything inbetween all worked together and the result of this unity is so beneficial to the patient.
The ward is spotless and a credit to the domestics who do such a thorough job and not just a quick dust where it can be seen , they then serve all the meals with courtesy at all times.
The nurses and auxiliaries are so lovely, so approachable, no question is to silly to ask and no request to much effort to carry out.
There was not one single person letting the team down but equally I couldn't pick out any one person being better than the others as they all treated the patient with respect and dignity at every turn.
I hope anyone facing going into this ward, if your feeling anxious or apprehensive please don't be it really is a fantastic ward
