"Compassionate and person centred care"

(as a relative),

My mum and I cannot praise the staff on Ward 27 WGH Edinburgh for the compassionate and patient centred care mum received during her recent 3 week stay. It made her stay so much more tolerable during a difficult time for her. The humour and empathy shown by all the staff was a credit to a new ward. We are very grateful to them all.

I am very pleased to read that the care provided to your Mum made a very difficult time more tolerable, and that the care was patient-centred and empathy was shown by all staff.

I will pass on your kind message and very positive feedback to the Associate Nurse Director at the Western General Hospital, and share this with all of the staff on Ward 27. Staff really appreciate all feedback and I know that they will be delighted to receive this.

I would just like to thank you for taking the time to provide such kind feedback for the staff in Ward 27. I can confirm that I have shared your post with all the staff in the Ward. I cannot tell you how important it is for the staff to receive such positive feedback.

While we strive to learn from any complaint we receive, it is also important that we learn from more positive feedback, so that we can share it across the site.
