"Recall after routine mammogram"

About: Royal Derby Hospital / Breast surgery

I was so impressed from the moment I stepped into the Breast Unit.

Everyone that treated me, from the receptionist to the team of Radiographers and Consultants, did so with the utmost respect and professionalism and a friendly smile and chat to put me very much at ease.

Time was taken to talk me through every stage of my appointment.

However, the parking is appalling and I was so stressed arriving for my appointment.

I sat at the parking barrier for 10 minutes as the car park was full and lots of cars trying to find a space.

Eventually, when there were two spots free right in front of me, I did press for help.

I attended this appointment alone but need to find someone to drive me in for my results.

It was very kind of you to take the time to write to the hospital; I am pleased to hear that you had a positive experience and that you wish to express your grateful thanks to the Breast Unit. I will forward your kind comments to the manager for the Breast Unit to be shared with all the staff.

With regard to the car parking I would firstly like to say that I am extremely sorry that you have had cause to complain. I appreciate that you will not have done so lightly and I would like to thank you for bringing your concerns to our attention. Your feedback is valuable in assisting us to identify areas for improvement.

I would like to invite you to discuss the matter further so that we can take your concerns forward. Please contact the PALS office on 01332 785156, we are open Monday to Friday 09:00 to 5:00 and outside of these hours the answer phone is in operation.
