"treated with hostility and uncaring attitude"

About: Torbay Hospital / Accident and emergency

i went to A and E after being talked into it by Ambulance staff i had over medicated and after phoning SPA for help because i was feeling suicidal and thought i was going to take more medication they phoned the Ambulance, i suffer from mental health problems and have a diagnosis of Complex PTDS, EUPD Schizophrenia and paranoid personality disorder not that i agree with all this but this is my diagnosis.

after 4hrs for blood test results to come back the duty Psychiatrist came to see me she never listened or commented on anything i said and was extremely abrupt and told me to go away after 5 mins. i had no way of getting myself home and previously have been denied help to get home even though people around me have been offered transport home, i had checked on the hospital website and it said that if you are on certain benefits you are eligible for help so i made a complaint on a previous occasion and got a telephone call from a sister of A and E saying if i was refused another time to speak to the sister of the ward because i am eligible for help so i asked for help i explained i had no means or anyone to get me home and was still distressed after not being helped by the mental health team and i heard the doctor who spoke to me laughing with the sister on the ward repeating what i had said, the Sister of the ward then came up to me and was very hostile saying we will help you this time but never again. they obviously do not have any compassion or understanding for people suffering with mental and emotional problems, to be treated like this just makes you worse so i go home and am no better off and impulsively self harm and feeling suicidal it feels like i am treated like i am wasting their time and money but it is not on purpose and if they knew what i was going through they or experienced it themselves they would not treat me like this.
