"Data Protection issues"

About: First Community Health and Care CIC

(as a parent/guardian),

Whilst making enquires regarding other issues, the following have also come to light:-

Partial medical records have gone missing;  

I don't believe First Community are informing me of how my information is being used for purposes beyond my direct care;

Children & Family Health Surrey's website provides inaccurate information regarding children's personally identifiable information, and despite me bringing this to their attention at Christmas time, the misinformation is still present.

I have offered First Community an opportunity to resolve the issues I have, but four weeks later they have failed to come to an agreement, and patient identifiable information is still being shared for purposes other than direct care despite explicit objection, which I believe is in contravention of the Data Protection Act, the Nursing & Midwifery Council's professional stands, and the NHS Care Record Guarantee.

Based on this experience I would be very wary about what, if any, information I give this organisation about me or my children.

You have my email address. I have already explained I would prefer not to communicate by phone, as there is no written record of what has been discussed, and it would be my word against yours. I have emailed Data Protection, and am still awaiting a response. I would suggest you speak to them.
