my husband was treated in the bexley wing which was clean and modern and easy to navigate
What could be improved
more staff, better staff morale which would have a positive impact on the patient and his requests for assistance would have been dealt with more timeously. More doctors on a weekend, better communication between patient, pharmacy, nursing staff, visitor relatives and outside resources (eg St Gemmas).
if you write a letter regarding problems encountered during hospitalisation, they should be dealt with promptly. My initial letter was sent in December 2010 and has not been resolved satisfactorily yet.
Too many cuts resulting in less patient and visitor satisfaction- same old story everywhere
