"Wonderful staff and professional service..."

About: West Middlesex University Hospital

What I liked

I broke and dislocated my ankle playing football and was taking to A&E in West Middlesex hospital. I was quickly seen by the doctor and kept informed of what was happening. I was put in a cast and moved to the Richmond ward. After two days I had surgery to insert two screws into my ankle. The surgery was swift and I was discharged the same day. Over the next three months I have had numerous appointments, three casts, follow up day surgery to remove the screws and lots of parking fees.

Overall I have been very grateful of the help, care and specialist care I received from Orthopaedic team. The doctors and all the nurses have been very friendly, professional and I am thankful I received my treatment at West Middlesex hospital.

What could be improved

Understandably this is London hospital and it is a busy place, but waiting times were sometimes longer than I had hoped. The stress the staff are under with staff reductions was also felt by the patients.

Parking costs mount up after numerous visits and it would be helpful if a monthly ticket could be purchased for a discounted rate when multiple visits are needed.
