"Lack of expertise"

I was referred to Pulross Intermediate centre for a shoulder injury following trauma. Having waited 4 MONTHS (my GP said I would be seen in 2 weeks), I was sent for a scan and X-ray. A couple of months later, when physio started, I found my allocated physio was never given a copy of the scan, so how could they tailor my treatment? They told me they didn't generally receive a copy of the scan.

I think there is no wonder then that their exercises made the pain worse. I followed their instructions for 3 months; told to exercise through the pain, going to next level of difficulty with exercises before I could complete the current exercise due to pain and limited range of movement.

I felt was fobbed off after 3 months, told I could have an injection of I wanted, but when I saw the sports doctor they didn't even know that hair loss is a risk of these injections! I suffer from chronic telogen effluvium, so I walked away as I knew I was getting nowhere.

Later they wrote a letter to my GP citing alopecia as my reason for declining the injection: It seems to me doesn't know the difference between alopecia and telogen effluvium. Then again, they didn't even know hairloss was a risk of the injections. It's common knowledge on hair loss forums.

Since I stopped going for treatment and followed my own regime based on Common sense and logic plus my personal expertise based on 20 years of fitness training, my shoulder has improved remarkably. As a taxpayer pumping 40% of my salary into the big machine, I really resent the lack of expertise I have experienced. When I tried to complain to my GP who had referred me there he wasn't interested and said 'write them a letter' - no comment about what he was going to do about my shoulder.
