What I liked
Only the man doing the tea round on the orthopaedic ward who was always happy and cheerful, everything else is bad
What could be improved
Quality and training of nursing staff, the young uni trained ones were much better! The food,
Anything else?
My son was taken into A & E at the Infirmary and had to stay to have an operation on his leg. Despite the fact that he had a previous operation on the same leg in a London Hospital it was arranged to transfer him back there for them to fix it up again but the ward sister messed up his transfer and cancelled the ambulance taking him. The surgeon tried to operate but completely bodged his leg. The after care on the orthopaedic ward was awful, lack of caring staff, correct medication and poor quality food. He then spent 8 months in agony, at home confined to bed, and then had to undergo another operation back in London to remove all the metalwork done. He is now confined to a wheelchair. His whole life has been ruined. Disgusting and certainly not acceptable. Despite e-mailing PALs no no-one has ever bothered to reply, I guess they just don't care!
