Have been to Wrightington Hospital twice so far, due to having bilatetal adhesive capsulitis of the shoulders. Each time the care , communication, expertise has been really excellent . The Consultant was very understanding and attentive. It was great that i managed to have an appointment with him only 1 week after being referred by my GP. He referred me for bilateral hydrodilation and arthrograms which I had today. Unfortunately the weather was against us due to snow woes on M6 but when I rang the reception in Xray they were excellent in reassuring me. When we arrived, everyone was lovely and the Registrar undertook the procedure with radiology staff who werent rostered originally. Thankyou ... you were so kind when I was being a wimp. The radiology registrar was very professional and put me at ease, very slick and confident. Another doctor popped his head in when he arrived just to check all was well, and it was. Although painful and wierd due to the numbness, it was ok. Have physio next week and follow up in 3 weeks... so well organised. Feel so lucky to be under the care of such a centre of excellence. Thankyou Wrightington... keep up the good work. NHS at its finest !
"Thankyou radiology department !"
