In early 2017 I had a baby at Honiton Maternity Unit in Devon. I felt exceptionally well cared for throughout my labour. The staff were fantastic - both the midwives, the student midwife and the support staff.
I would highly recommend the experience. It is an excellent example of community led care. This was my second baby. I had planned to have the first baby at Honiton (mid 2015) but had to transfer to Exeter. After I had the baby I transferred back to Honiton. I found the small unit at Honiton to be much more conducive to post labour recovery than the ward at Exeter.
I can't praise the staff at Honiton highly enough. It is an excellent unit that serves the community really well.
"An excellent example of community led care"
