"Friendly and caring"

About: St Helens Hospital / Dermatology

I attended the dermatology on 28 Feb 2018 for a minor op to have a punch biopsy on my nose. I’m not usually frightened of any procedures but was very apprehensive about having a local anaesthetic in my nose. The doctor was very understanding and took great care to reassure me. Whilst it did hurt getting the needle inserted he talked me through everything whilst doing the procedure and with the help of the nurses there made a very uncomfortable procedure a lot less daunting. The friendly banter was much appreciated.

I can’t praise them enough and felt that I should write and say so after all the bad press the NHS gets at times. So thank you all.
