I chose the Royal Surrey for my surgery after a less than satisfactory inpatient stay at Queen Alexandra hospital in Portsmouth last summer (I live roughly equal distance to both), and was very impressed.
I was under the care of the consultant, and my assessment and treatment by him was first class.
The same could be said of the nursing staff, who were quietly competent and very kind and attentive.
My anaesthesiologists were wonderful too, dealing with my nervousness with care and concern.
I was also treated very promptly, being taken to theatre for my surgery barely an hour after my arrival.
My surgery has been a complete success, and the post operative care was good too, including a very appetising sandwich when I came around from the anaesthetic!
I am now home recovering satisfactorily and cannot praise everyone involved in my treatment highly enough.
My thanks to everyone involved.
