"Not a good practice"

About: Bridge Road Medical Centre

Finding myself a new surgery for myself an my family wrong information given by receptionist at the most distressing time for myself needing an urgent appointment never go back to that surgery again awful. That new system does not work for full time working patients who cannot have their phone on them as they work with children (safeguarding) so not sure how the doctor can actually speak to you to even get an appointment

I would be interested to know what wrong information you were given by our receptionist so that I could look into this, I have been unable to contact you directly as you left your comment anonymously.

I am sorry that you feel the new appointment system is unreasonable for workers. The system has been set up so you call on the day you wish to be seen. This therefore allows arrangements to be made with work to enable you to take a call and attend the surgery on a day that suits both yourself and your employer. The phone lines are open between 8am and 6.30pm to take appointment requests and you can ask the receptionist to put a note to the GP stating a time you are available to take a phone call.
