"Excellent care in A&E and Ward D5"

About: Portsmouth Hospitals University NHS Trust

Fell off my bike and suffered head injury on 14th January. My care could not be faulted from the paramedic who attended first to the ambulance crew and the staff in A&E who expedited a CT scan as I had been unconscious and neck injury suspected.

10 days on ward D5 was longer than I would have liked as it took a while to obtain a MRI scan but all the staff were very caring and patient with an old curmudgeon.

From what I could see I felt that Portsmouth Hospital Trust run a complex organisation very well in contrast to what is often reported in the press.
