(as the patient),

I have had renal cancer and under the care of the Doctors in the Western General Hospital for nearly 7 years and would like to let everyone know how well I was looked after during my last procedure

I was unwell just after Christmas and struggled along with my issues however I had to visit my doctors and after blood test I was sent to the Western as an emergency patient

I have had the best part of 20 procedures due to my cancer and have found the surgery to be very painful to say the least due to renal colic

This time  Dr Iqbal my anesthesiologist looked after me and I have to thank him so much for my care as this was the first time I was pain free when I awoke from the surgery

The full team from Mr Cutress my surgeon and Dr Iqbal my anesthesiologist and all the staff that looked after me were excellent looking after me, so a big thank you to all the urology team at the Western General Hospital Edinburgh

I am sorry to read that you have had renal cancer and that further to many procedures over these years that you were unwell after Christmas.

I am pleased to hear that you following your last surgery that you felt so well looked after, and that the care was excellent, and I do hope that you are now recovering well at home.
