"Ranmore Ward is a wonderful place if you..."

What I liked

There isn't anything I did not like on the ward my Father was in. All the staff treated him with so much respect and dignity, right up to the moment he passed. Their commitment to their patients was unsurpassable. They also treated me as his daughter with so much respect. I cannot fault their care. My Father was treated up til his last breath like a real person who desereved total respect. I know for sure that he was and had been treated like this even when he hadn't got visitors. All the staff are very special people, with hearts of gold.

The day my father left us, they had given him the privacy and cleanliness he deserved, and their comfort and support to myself were second to none. Yes, they are the same with everyone I know, but I do feel and know that they are genuine. It is not an act infront of relatives. We as a family could see the real care and commitment all the staff put into their work. I will be eternally grateful to all of them for making my Fathers last weeks and especially his last days as peaceful and caring as could be possible. I can never thank them enough. They are a wonderful bunch. I am feeling lucky that I met and know some of the staff that took such wonderful care of my Father, and treated him like a human! Unlike the hospital he had been in prior to his emergency admittance to Ranmore Ward, after being discharged incapable of caring for himself, and without the walking frame he has been issued with, as was unable to stand let alone walk!! Ranmore Ward took him in and cared for him and supported him and myself so wonderfully. I know he was as happy to be there as he knew he would be cared for.... he told me!
