First I would like to say how much I appreciate any help with my skin from NHS Tayside and had some great treatment from the team in Dundee.
However, I can't say the same for Perth. In the last two week, I have been shouted at and made to feel I was standing in front of a headmaster at school by a nurse.
First Incident:
Was starting early at work so I always make sure I was DTC for opening at 7.30m. This morning it was -7 and freezing outside. The front door was not opening so wait a few minutes then knock as want to get out the cold. I was meet by a member of staff who clearly was not happy that there was someone wanting in. She just went off on one with an attitude about there being a timer on the door. Then where was I going, did say to the DTC well I have never seen you before which is not true. I was made to feel I was just an inconvenience and did feel like just walking away at that point. I did say all I want was to get out the cold and would wait in the waiting area till they were ready.
Incident 2:
Not sure the nurse's name but will be in the notes. Twice I have been told by this nurse that I was using the wrong creams on areas of my body, I have twice said that what I was told to use from the Doctors in the unit at Ninewells and have worked very well for me, but still said I was wrong and then started to tell me off as if I was a child and that i was told twice I was wrong about the creams and that she had noted it twice by her. Then went on to say I should have said before getting undressed for them to check my skin. At no point has anyone said this or told me to do this.
All in I not sure I want to return back to the DTC in Perth
