I was unfortunately diagnosed with a very rare brain tumour called Primary CNS Lymphoma in February 2016 and was transferred to the Hematology dept at City Hospital for my treatment.
I spent around 15 weeks in total on and off in hospital having four cycles of high intense chemotherapy followed by a stem cell transplant.
From day one the service I received was absolutely outstanding and my care plan was explained to me and followed right through to the end with accuracy.
All staff even though under constant pressure performed brilliantly throughout my time in hospital including the daycare clinic where all staff are extremely kind and helpful.
You would not even get this service anywhere even if you went private.
Thank you very much and Welll done - Team Hematology.
