"Friendly and understanding staff"

About: University Hospital Ayr / Neurology University Hospital Ayr / X-rays and Scans

(as the patient),

I recently had a MRI scan at Ayr hospital, after I attempted to have one in the mobile MRI scanner at Ayr hospital. Now I am a big guy and I was being put into the scanner by the nurse who was great but as I got in I really felt it was too tight at my arms and started to panic a bit, the nurse then stopped the process and was really good with me and told me it was fine and they would book an appointment with the hospital scanner.....

So today I had said appointment within the hospital for my MRI, now as I said I'm a big guy with lots of tattoos but really I'm a big feerty.....πŸ˜„

But I cannot praise the girl's enough, my mind was put at rest from the start everyone was very friendly and understanding......although I was told the scanner was the same size as the mobile unit scanner.....awww noooo......!!!!!

But like I said the girl's were great and the radiography nurse was fantastic even stopping after a scan to give me a drink of water and always asking me if I was OK with everything and always telling me how long every scan would last and how many were left.

I'm not really in the habit of leaving feedback but I felt this was a must because of the experience I have had today at Ayr hospital.

Oh and the music thru the headphones was great, especially Nickleback...πŸ˜‚

I respond initially to most of the posts and ensure they are passed to the appropriate team whether they are compliments, observations or grumbles. It is important to make sure all issues are addressed and I try to encourage that to happen for all the posts as required.

Dear big feerty.....πŸ˜„, oh I mean blunose52,

I love your story and will be delighted to pass your praise to the team at CT/MRI in Ayr. It really sounds as if the staff were great and I am sure it will make their day to hear your kind words

Thank you so much for breaking your 'norm' and giving us your feedback, the power of which should never be underestimated. (Although I suspect I may be a little biased).

I hope your results are the best.

Kind regards,

Eunice
