I am enraged. I was put on Roaccutane for my acne in July 2017, with the promise my acne would clear.
The dermatologist said it would even prevent scarring, this was not the case.
I broke out terribly in the months of July to October. It finally settled in November, and my acne has almost stopped completely. However, I am left with lots of dark red scars all across my face, which have destroyed my self-confidence, even though I was promised clear skin.
I had an appointment today, and I expected that they would keep me on for another month. But instead, the person I saw simply said I had twelve more days on the treatment and that was it. I asked them what I should do about my scarring and they simply replied that there was nothing.
So they basically put me on this treatment ruined my skin and have now left me to go it alone. I feel ashamed of the dermatology department and let down by my hospital. My skin and confidence have been ruined.
