"Nurses and HCA all amazing"

About: Cumberland Infirmary / Gynaecology

This is the second time I have had to have an erpc surgery for miscarriage. The first time I was sent to the day surgery ward. This time I was sent to aspen for recovery and they were wonderful. At such a difficult time I was in a private room and everyone was great. They even offered my husband a camp bed if I felt the need to stay the night. Little disappointed the consultant wasn't very clear with me the day before my surgery however.

Many thanks for taking the time to post a comment about your recent experience on the Aspen ward at the Cumberland Infirmary. I am sorry that you had to undergo surgery following a miscarriage but I am pleased that you felt so well looked after by the staff on Aspen following your visit to theatre. I will ensure that your positive comments are passed on the the team on Apsen ward.

I am not able to respond to your comment about the Consultant not being clear about the surgery but if you have any further questions that require clarification please do not hesitate to contact our PALS team who will be able to assist you. They can be contacted on 01228 814008 between 10.30 and 4.30 Monday to Friday or email PALSCIC@ncuh.nhs.uk.

Kind regards

Georgia Wright - Head of Nursing, Patient Experience and Engagement.
