"Time Wasting"

About: St Paul's Surgery

On January 4th, I visited my Dr, having waited 3 weeks for the appointment slot (it was not urgent). I told my Dr that I needed some support stockings. She examined me and agreed I was in great need of them. She told me to book myself in with the nurse to be measured.

Fast forward 11 days (the next available appointment with the nurse) and at 9:30 I am waiting for my appointment with the nurse. The nurse was seemingly running 23 mins late and proceeded to tell me the NHS could not supply me with the stockings the Dr had prescribed.

Such disappointing service from a GP Surgery I used to hold in high regard.

Please note that our earlier replies to several of these reviews and comments do not appear to have been saved to the site despite having been responded to at the time, so apologies for any apparent delay in our response.

We are sorry to hear that you did not have a positive experience when you were sorting out your support stockings via the surgery.

Unfortunately, clinical staff may sometimes be running late due to circumstances outside of their control such as if they have been dealing with an acutely unwell patient, but we endeavour to try and see patients as near to their booked appointment time as is possible.

I cannot comment specifically about the supply problem for the stockings that you mentioned, but if you have any specific issues that you would like us to look into, I would be grateful if you could contact the Practice Manager.
