(as a service user),

I was drinking 30 years and couldn’t quit, then I heard of TTP. The 12 step plan programme – a better way of living 1 day at a time. I have tried everything else and nothing else had worked for me. It has changed my life.

I haven’t had a drink since I started nearly a year ago and I’d been drinking through other treatments.

Becuase of the good treatment I have received, I think its disgusting that this service is no longer available in Runcorn. It has saved and changed peoples lives and could have gone on doing so.

I think it is a much needed service – and would hope that somehow in the future it can be resumed. It saddens me that people won’t be given this unique opportunity. I thank god that I was able to do the course.

From 1 grateful addict I would like to thank TTP from the bottom of my heart for changing my life and giving me a new start.

Thank you for your posting and I am glad TTP helped you with your problem.

I can assure you that all the service providers within Ashley House and the DAAT ,who commission services ,are keen to ensure that there is provision for interventions similar to those that were delivered to you and I am aware that the commissioners are in the process of ensuring that there is a service in place in Ashley House that will continue the excellent work started by TTP .

It is encouraging to hear that the work of the staff has helped you make such a major change in your life.

Due to TTP declining the offer of an extension to their contract, the Drug Action Team has had to find another organisation to take over the running of this service.

I hope to be able to post on this website in the next day or two who that organisation is. I would like to reassure though that the organisation that has been chosen is well respected and has a track record of delivering high quality services.

I would expect a series of meetings to take place next week where we can agree what the new arrangements are going to be. I would anticipate that some of those meetings will also involve people who are currently using the service as well as taking account of the comments that have been made here on this website.

As and when these new arrangements are agreed I shall make sure that they are posted here.

we at ashley house are so pleased that you took the opportunity to access treatment here.

we wish you every success in the future, all the agencies here will be working hard in the future to ensure recovery continues to grow in the Halton borough.

hi i would like to add that we are now up and running as

addaction recovery team

we have tried to keep treatment times plans and recovery plans as similar as possible to promote continuity of care.

there will be some teething problems and we would like to here about anything that could help us improve the quality of care.

yesterdays problems are todays solutions and with all the people working together we can develope coordinate and maintain recovery here for all to enjoy.
