"Confidentiality"

About: Aberdeen Maternity Hospital

(as the patient),

One of the midwifes decided it would be appropriate to discuss my details on a group chat with other people I know without my permission. I am very distressed and upset by this and I still have the screenshots from a friend. I was willing to let this incident go if I received a written apology however I'm still waiting for one and it was due November 2017 Hopefully someone sees this and can get in contact with me before I report to NMC to make everything completely official. It is my right to have privacy and I don't expect someone to be discussing my business without my permission

Dear BMC17

My apologies for your experience, and thank you for posting your concern. If you would be happy to contact me directly on 01224 554904 or via email jane.raitt@nhs.net I will certainly do my best to look into your concerns, and explore why you have not received the apology you were expecting.

Best wishes

Jane
