"Eroded gastric band"

About: Royal Shrewsbury Hospital

I was scheduled for an emergency op at the Royal Shrewsbury for a severely eroded gastric band. After meeting my surgeon for the first time, he and his team made me feel at ease. The operation was extremely difficult and a few complications had arisen. I have to say that my level of care was excellent from start to finish nothing was to much trouble and I was kept informed of every step throughout my stay. Many people are quick to complain but I believe credit where credit is due. This hospital is also 50 miles from where I live so I was out of my comfort zone but was never made to feel any different. Thank you to all the staff on Ward 33 SAU for making a very difficult time a lot more pleasent. Many Thanks Donna West Midlands

Receiving feedback is very important to us and means a lot to the staff, so thank you for sharing this with us.

I do hope you are now feeling much better.
