(as the patient),

Had to be bought in by ambulance few days ago because I was suffering from severe back pain and muscle spasms which, could be only be compared to a extremely strong labour contractions (but I am not pregnant). 

Paramedic Rachael from Chorley  who was first to arrive at my house, doctors, nurses; especially Karen, Kealey and student Maria from Bolton F3 ward, physios who helped me to stand up on my feet, porters and radiographers from Royal Bolton Hospital were all so friendly, compassionate and caring.  I was treated very quickly and thoroughly with great understanding and dignity. They have done so much for me to make sure I am home for Xmas with my pain under control.

You all do an amazing job, and are often unappreciated. I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart. Hope you all have a lovely  Christmas.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience of using North West Ambulance Service – I am sorry to have not replied earlier. I am really pleased to hear of the excellent care that you received from Rachael and then that this also continued once you reached the hospital. I’m glad to hear that you were home for Christmas and I hope that you have continued to recover since then. I hope that should you ever need to use our service again then you would have every confidence in doing so.
