"Treatment at the breast clinic"

About: Chorley & South Ribble Hospital / Breast surgery

(as the patient),

I attended the clinic by doctors request. I saw a nurse first who examined me she was very good and took her time asking me questions about my breast that was sore.

She decided to send me for a mammogram and scan. The mammogram picked something very small up and I had a biopsy done. Everybody was so kind friendly but also professional. Had the nurse not of sent me for these two procedures it would not have been found weather cancer or not, I owe my thanks to her for deciding these procedures was necessary.

Lovely relaxed and quiet clinic, all runs smoothly.

Thank you for sharing this with us; we're glad to know everything went smoothly and you found our Breast Care Unit staff kind and professional.

We know the anxiety and trepidation experienced by many of our patients attending this clinic, and the team work very hard to minimise this and help our patients feel fully informed and reassured.

We will pass your kind comments on to the Breast Care Team who will be very touched.
