I was diagnosed with Keratoconus in March after being referred in January by my GP. I was told, by the doctor at BRI in March, i would be refered to a specialist and get a follow up appointment with the hospital within 4 months. I received no follow up apointment till September when i had to call to make my own appointment. This appointment was cancelled because the Dr i was supposed to see could not make it and i was put back on the waiting list. I now have to wait another 2 months to see someone about my progressive eye condition that is weakening my eyesight. I thought i had the right to start treatment after a maximum of 18 weeks from when the hospital receives the referral.
"Not started treatment 10 months after referral..."
