I visited Ashford and St Peter's A+E after suffering from suicidal ideation. I was very ill and obsessed with taking an overdose of my medication. When admitted to a bed the paramedics left the medication I was planning to use to harm myself on my bedside and I had to actively beg a nurse to take this away from me. I was only seen once in 4 hours and not seen my a mental health practitioner for over 6 hours. This is quite simply unacceptable. I could have very easily harmed myself in this time and should have been under some form of supervision.
