"Out of hours Dr visit"

About: IC24 Surrey and Sussex out of hours

(as the patient),

I have a gastric band fitted and became Ill with sickness bug, I am unable to be sick with the band and there was a possibility the band would slip. My husband called 111 and they gave me a 12 hr disposition which would not have been any good to me as pathways does not recognise gaestric band, my husband spoke to a clinician at 111 and explained the situation and they marked it as a 2hr contact. Within 10 mins IC24 brighton called and within 1hr 30 min the mobile GP visited and found I had a temperature of 38 a d gave me an anti sickness injection and was also concerned of and slippage - within 1hr I had stopped wretching and was able to sleep. The GP was polite courteous and very attentive. Thank you

Dear patient,

Thank you for taking the time to provide some feedback on your experience with our out of hours service. I'm pleased that our doctor was able to give you some relief, and was polite and courteous too. We really appreciate it when our patients take the time to provide us with feedback on the service they receive. I will pass your comments to the director that is responsible for our out of hours service in Sussex to ensure the doctor gets your feedback directly.

We wish you well in your recovery.

Richard
