(as a relative),

My father was cared for by Sharon (staff nurse) on Ward 2D Crosshouse Hospital. Her kindness, care and compassion were exemplary not only to my father, but to my whole family. She really is a diamond in the rough and helped us all cope with our very sad loss.

She went above and beyond the call of duty and we will remember her always. She was there for us all in our hour of need, nothing was too much trouble.

Dear Lewys,

Firstly, please accept my condolences for the sad loss of your father, it is never an easy time but it sounds as if it was as good as it could have been for you all. End of life care is such an important part of the care we provide and it is extremely heart warming to hear that Sharon was your diamond. I will be very pleased to pass your kind words and gratitude to the team in 2D and particularly to Sharon. I am sure this will mean a great deal to her.
