"I couldn't have been looked after better"

About: Borders General Hospital / General Surgery (Ward 7)

(as the patient),

I underwent a surgical day procedure, which unfortunately resulted in a 2 night stay in hospital. Whilst I felt a bit anxious, I knew that I was safe, and I felt safe. I couldn't have been looked after better. From admission right through to discharge, everyone was very kind and professional. The kindness and professionalism wasn't limited to medical and nursing staff, the porters and domestics were amazing too.

I must firstly apologise for the delay in responding to your story however I can advise that I did read your story on the day it was posted and shared it with staff in Ward 7 who were delighted to hear your positive feedback.

I was pleased to hear that you felt safe throughout your stay and you felt that you could not have been looked after better by all of our staff.

I appreciate what an anxious time you must have had given that you were only due to come in for a day procedure and ended up with a hospital stay so it was great that staff were able to reassure you during this time.
