I have been a patient at Barrett's Grove since 2003. The practice and all who work within it are exceptional. My GP is kind, compassionate and above all extremely professional. They take time to explain things in a down to earth way that helps me to understand my own health and helps me to take responsibility for it. Despite the surgery being extremely busy and no doubt suffering from the effects of recent cuts and being over-subscribed, my GP, while being efficient, never rushes patients' appointments and I always feel like they take time to listen to problems in order to properly help. I feel informed and equipped to maintain my own health.
The staff who work in reception are excellent. They all have a lovely way of dealing with patients. There are a lot of elderly patients in the community who need emotional support as well as medical assistance. I have witnessed first hand the kindness and friendliness of the staff at Barrets Grove and I'm so very grateful to be looked after by them. And this is not to forget the nurse who I have seen on occasion and they similarly have a caring and professional manner.
It's likely that I will be moving, out of London this year. I will be very sorry to leave such an excellent practice that has helped me overcome a number of health issues and successfully battle with bouts of quite black depression. I hope I will find such wonderful service elsewhere. While my experience of the NHS across the board is very positive, I know that the staff at Barrets Grove offer a unique service, often to people facing adversity and from disadvantaged settings.
Thank you Barrets Grove.
"An excellent surgery"
