"The whole team were extremely supportive"

About: Queen Margaret Hospital / Day Surgery

(as a service user),

I attended the Unit recently for biopsy under spinal anaesthetic. I have been in a number of hospital wards over the years and I have never been as impressed as I was with the level of nursing care I received during the day.   In the operating theatre the whole team were extremely supportive, attentive and did so much to put me at ease. The nurse who looked after me post op offered me so much reassurance when I had a bad reaction to the procedure, I was so appreciative as my anxiety levels increased. The staff nurse in the recovery ward, Alison was really helpful in explaining what was happening and providing me with very reassuring information about my health and the nursing team all showed genuine interest and concern for everyone on the ward.
