Total lack of respect whilst undergoing cataract operation. Kept waiting for hours. By the time I was called I needed to use the toilet. I have undergone a wipples (pancreas operation) which has led to double incontinence. This is improved with medication, but I am still left with a relatively imediate need to use the facilkities.
This is all in my records, yet when I asked if I could nip to the toilet first I was left with 2 options by the staff. I had been waiting a while for my opertion so I chose the latter option rather than have my procedure cancelled.
The humiliation of having to wet myself and see the doctor was awful. I apologised to the doctor, but I have never been so humiliated.
When my next of kin called Newmedica after the procedure he was informed we have no complaints forms or policy, because we never have complaints.
The whole experience has resulted in my lifelong support of George Eliot being trashed. I will never step foot in the George Eliot again.
I might add when my next of kin tried to escalate this to George Eliot he was just referred to Newmedica.
BEWARE if you go to George Eliot for Opthamology you wont be getting care from the NHS, but a profit driven monster company who have no reaspect for patients.
I am in my seventies and I don't think I will ever recover from the abuse I received
