"Excellent, recommend the hospital to all"

What I liked

My dad was first admitted to Southampton General Hospital after having breathing problems with a possible blood clot that he orginally had gone up to his lungs and i have to say the response of paramedics and emergency was brilliant i cant fault the staff. He was transferred to D6 in the Respiratory Ward and i have to say the nurses were very friendly, they have a laugh but its great to see them taking there work seriously as i had a bad experience at another hospital who i will not name. They were constantly checkivery comforting ng on my dad and they were getting very concerned about my dads lungs so he had an endocsepy and that is when we knew that it was a very serious condition and it all came with a huge shock he was diagnosed with Lung Cancer and was moved to C4 ward and the registar was there waiting for us to explain it and it made me feel like my dad was definitely in the correct place we were realistic abut his chances but unfortunately he suffered a severe stroke that killed him eventually on the 4th February 2010 with dignity and also staff were really comforting and were there to chat to and they made you feel as though they are family
