We used to live in Ashby but we moved and my husband and I didn't want to move surgery as we respected and liked are care given by our Doctor and their team. My husband was Diabetic and I have Asma, anxiety and Depression. The Doctor agreed which was good as it is hard these days to feel at ease and find a Dr that you like.
My husband went to see our Doctor with a pain in his side and sent him to have a scan which if it wasn't for the Doctor's gut feeling to have it checked out my husband would not have been diagnosed with Cancer of the Pancreas so quickly.
The Doctor exceeded their duty as GP with constantly phoning checking up and regular visits making sure that my husband was comfortable at this difficult time. The Doctor was a good support to myself and my husband through this time and after.
It made life a little easier to know that we had care and support when we needed it the most.
I'm so great full and thankful to our Doctor for what he did.
I think more surgeries should take a leaf out of our Doctor's book.
