"Nightmare parking"

About: Royal Derby Hospital / Breast surgery

I am really upset about the new one way system at the hospital, I have to visit the cancer care unit regularly, being told that I have to arrive an hour before my appointment is very distressing for me, I have already abandoned several appointments with the lymphodemer clinic, I had to come away in tears because trying to drive around hospital and waiting to get into the car parks was a nightmare, I have an appointment with my consultant at the end of this month and I am close to tears at the thought of having to turn up an hour before my appointment (which is stressful in it's self waiting in the cancer department to see the dr) plus the nightmare of drive around the new one way system trying to find a parking space. I feel the one way system, is a huge nightmare for patients like myself, we don't chose to be ill, we already have huge stresses, adding to them does not help us with our recovery.

I would like to invite you to ring the PALS office to discuss the matter further on 01332 785156. The PALS office is open Monday to Friday from 9:00 to 5:00. You can attend without a prior appointment during the office hours, or ring to make an appointment if it is more convenient to you.
