"Receptionists regularly dish out medical advise."

About: Derby Road Health Centre

I was peeing blood clots and in pain and rung up at 8.10 in the morning, i was told by the receptionist that peeing blood clots wasnt life threatening even though i was clearly in alot of pain and was told to wait 5 days to get access to a prescription. No call back from a healthcare professional offered. Had to call NHS 111 to seek further medical advise, was told by them that i needed urgent medical care. Had i not done this i would have been hospitalised. Absolutely disgusting behaviour, this isnt the first time the receptionist has decided to play trained medical professional either.

Hi, we are very sorry to hear that you were not happy with the service that you received.

Our receptionists do try to accommodate all patients and so we are sorry that we did not meet your expectation in this instance.

Should you wish this to be investigated further, please contact the practice manager Nikki Wood on 0115 973 8820 or you can write to her at the DRHC address.

Kind regards,

DRHC
