Admitted last Wednesday afternoon through Amia with a severe flare of ulcerative colitis. Within 5 minutes of arriving at the assessment unit (ward 101) i was seen by the nurses and doctor who were quick to administer fluids and arrange for an x ray.
Everyone was so kind and could not do enough for me as I was in a lot of pain.
By teatime I had been moved to GI ward 104 and treatment had began to try to settle the flare.
Each and every member of staff in Ward 104 were absolutely first class and took such good care of me, reassuring me and nothing was too much trouble.
I am now at home making my recovery with my family. Thank you again to all involved with my admission.
