What I liked

I attended the Emergency eye clinic, the nurses were exellent they made me everyone feel at ease. One major point I have to make is that when I attended for the second time (I work in comunity care) I had heard that one of my regular elderly clients had been admitted a couple of days previous for minor care. As I was there I thought it may be nice to visit them, so after I had seen the doctor (who was also very nice) I asked at the desk for visiting times in the other wards. They were very helpful! They said they were unsure of the visiting times but asked for the name of the person I care for, they looked this up on the computer and then rang the ward to see if it was ok to visit. They went beyond the call of duty and for this I am very gratful, as my client really enjoyed my visit. I find the everyone in the emergency eye clinic in city general to be absolutely lovely. My brother has also attended with Iritis. The nurses showed him a lot of sympathy, we asked if it was ok to bring my brother a cup of coffee up from the vendor. the nurse replied "Aw of course it is, would you like me to make him one?" We thought how kind of her! we had to decline as my brother is very fussy about his coffee but it was a lovely thought!

What could be improved

I found it was very hard to park in Central Out paitents

I attended the Central outpaitents twice and shall be attending again soon. My consultant on attending the first time spent 15 mins on the phone (on loud speaker). It was silent in their office and I didnt really have much choice but to listen to their conversation. I attended today and they answered their mobile to someone asking if they were working on a particular day which was another 10min call and then another call after that. They were unsure about the form they had to fill in and proceeded to stare blankly at the form. Another dr came in to ask their opinion and my consultant left, A nurse came in and asked them a question and they left again. They left twice to ask a collegue about the form they had to fill in, they were very abrupt also. However they were very thorough with regards to my eye complaint though they did speak quite fast, I did not find this a problem but the person who came with me did so my concern may be because someone who is hard of hearing my struggle to understand them. My notes were lost and a dear little nurse had to tell me this but I did not mind these things happen. I am not really sure of my outcome but I have to see my doctor anyway, and second to non! I know I can talk to them about my concerns openly
