"Appointment confusion"

About: Kidderminster Hospital

(as the patient),

My appointment was with the Diabetes advice clinic.

I arrived 30 mins early and was directed by a member of staff controlling the queue to wait to be called in a seated area on that floor.

After waiting an hour I went to reception to explain that I could only wait 10 minutes longer, reception being on the lower floor. They looked blankly at me, asked my name and exclaimed that they thought that I had already been called on the lower floor and asked who had sent me up there in the first place.

After I explained about the queue control person, they looked at me puzzled again then looked at their colleague who offered no explanation - then looked at me blankly again. At that point I had had enough of wasting time and had to get to a further appointment, so I left extremely frustrated and my partner who was with me can vouch that no one called me between those times.

When I get time and a diary Rota update I will probably attempt to arrange a new appointment but I feel a bit despondent at doing so.
