What I liked
Most staff were professionally very expert in their field, that is in their clinical expertise
What could be improved
People skills, treating people with dignity, communication between staff
Anything else?
Medically and clinically and especially physios, dieticians very helpful. Staff on ward pleasant but a lack of communication and a propensity to do things in a way that makes their job easier seemed to be the thing to do with some of the staff. i found that staff sometimes did things to make their job easier at the expense of taking away someones independence and dignity. I found physios and dieticians helpful, but their instructions not carried out by ward staff sometimes. Not a good experience as a carer and visitor, I really think it should be the ward staff job to keep people informed so that they do not go home worried.
