About: University Hospital Of North Durham / Older people's healthcare

I would like to give a big thank you to all staff on Ward 1 for the excellent care they gave to my mother who was transferred onto Ward 1 from the Acute Care Unit on Saturday 16th September.

All of the staff who were involved in her care were extremely professional, helpful and caring and I cannot express how much my family and I appreciate this.

Unfortunately my mother passed away on 26th September but we could not have asked for better care for her during her stay in hospital.

She was treated with dignity and respect at all times.

The NHS and its staff are so often criticised but I feel it is important to give credit for excellent service when this is due.
