It might seem a very small thing but it matters a lot to me.
In the mornings I was in ward 5E milk was added to my cereal by the staff giving out the trays. I do not like a lot of milk as it makes cereal soggy and inedible. I said a few times I don't like a lot of milk and would prefer to add it in myself but still it came with milk added already.
I think I should have the choice to add as much as I want so if they gave it out in cups on the tray instead of just pouring it in it would help.
Im sure im ot the only patient who thinks this.
Also the meal trolley is left at the top of the ward and given to the patients in the top rooms first then eventually we would get our meal in the last room. some of the food was only luke warm by this time.
I think they should bring the trolley to the middle of the ward and half the staff give out one side of the ward and half the staff the other so we all get our meals around the same time.
That being said the care I received from the nurses was very good in the ward but these are just 2 small suggestions I think would help people enjoy the meals better.
