"Short visit but very impressed"

About: Christchurch Hospital

I accompanied my Dad with my Mum to a falls assessment, our first visit to Christchurch hospital.

From all staff we met we received kindness and compassion, it was clean, we'll signed with plenty of parking.

The Dr we met was really good, thorough but gave Dad lots of time and ensured he had the opportunity to ask questions and understood everything.

He allowed Mum and me to ask questions and offer information treating us with respect, good humour and compassion.

We have also had home visits from a community physio who is brilliant, again kind and compassionate.

We are all impressed by the care and services we have accessed recently and are grateful for the help and support keeping my Dad at home and upright!!!!

Dear Anonymous

Thank you for taking the time to write to us about your dads first visit to a falls assessment appointment at Christchurch hospital.

Its good to hear that you all received kindness and compassion from the staff you came across and that the doctor was also really good. Your experience of the community physio was also very good and again showed you kindness and was compassionate.

We will ensure that we pass on your comments to the departments in question for them to relay to their staff.

Regards

Patient Experience
