"Rude staff and cleaners only empty bins"

Staff are very rude and talk to you like you are nothing. They forget that they are there getting paid because of patients. Stayed in a post natal ward midwives are always rushing to and fro, they dont have time to listen to you or they are not interested at all. Stayed there for 3 days in a side room which had a filthy bathroom with a dirty bath chair and dirty curtains. Only saw cleaners in the mornings emptying bins but they never cleaned or mopped rooms. The food is horrible I do not recommend at all.

Thank you for your feedback. We were sorry to learn that your experience was not as positive as we would hope on one of the postnatal wards at Saint Mary’s Hospital. It is important to us that comments are heard and seen as an opportunity provided to the service to make changes and improvements wherever possible.

In response to your comment, we are reviewing our cleaning schedules with the Sodexo Team and Ms Lesley Chan, Matron for Inpatient Services and will ensure that all areas of the wards are cleaned properly. Your concerns have also been raised directly with the ward managers and staff in the wards involved so that they can look into them so that others don’t experience the same issues as you did.
