"A positive experience in A&E"

About: St Mary's Hospital (Manchester)

I attended the Accident and Emergency department at St Mary's Hospital yesterday with a suspected fractured hand. The whole process from being booked in, to seeing the triage nurse, then the doctor, x-ray and final consultation was over in about 2 hours. I felt respected throughout, and received a clear diagnosis and advice. The staff at our hospitals are to be admired in my opinion as they offer a brilliant service in challenging conditions. Also, while the media and government might like to paint a less favourable picture, we have a national health service to be proud of. Thank you to everyone in the A&E dept!
